Helping Families in Need

Project

Currently we are supporting 44 families (about 105 people), 36 children in primary school, 13 in high school and 6 university students under scholarship. Also providing some of their basic needs – food, medication and education. We plan to extend help to more families when we get more resources.

Boniface & Paulina Okafor Hospital

Project

The aim of this hospital is to help provide adequate health services for the poor and needy which will help to reduce maternal, infant morbidity and mortality. It also provides a holistic health education on how to manage one’s health and some of the common diseases that can lead to premature death – AIDS, malaria, high blood pressure & diabetes, etc. It will provide special care for the seniors and elderly people.

  • Start with a temporary clinic at Boniface & Paulina Okafor residential house; and
  • Build a permanent hospital at a new site.

Reason for choosing the Name

Project

Reason for choosing the Name – “Boniface & Paulina Okafor Memorial Hospital”

Boniface and Paulina Okafor were the parents of Fr. Toochukwu Okafor. Both of them had great love for their community and were actively involved in many social activities that promoted human life and dignity. Even though they were not materially affluent, they generously shared what they had with those who were less fortunate than them. They reached out to the poor and the needy and positively touched many lives in the whole community.
